Prime Minister N. Gruevski visits Brussels


The newly elected Prime Minister of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) Nikola Gruevski visited the headquarters of the European People’s Party (EPP) in Brussels on 13 September.

Prime Minister Gruevski and his 8-member delegation from his center-right government had the opportunity to meet with EPP President Wilfried Martens and EPP Secretary General Antonio Lopez-Isturiz to discuss current developments in this Western Balkan country.

“Prime Minister Gruevski has a clear vision for his country and he’s determined to implement European political and economic norms and standards. The EPP is looking forward to the important work of his administration and his active involvement in the activities of our political family,” stated President Martens.

Prime Minister Gruevski also met with the Chairman of the EPP-ED Group in the European Parliament Hans-Gert Poettering.
