EPP-ED mission to Romania, 27 and 28 April 2006


Members of the EPP-ED Group will visit Romania on a fact-finding mission from today 27 to 28 April 2006. Led by the Chairman of the EU-Romania Joint Parliamentary Committee, Guido Podestà MEP, the delegation will meet the President of Romania, Traian Basescu, the Romanian Prime Minister, Calin Popescu Tariceanu, as well as several Romanian cabinet ministers responsible for the accession process.
The Members of the delegation are: Francisco Millán Mon MEP, EPP-ED Group Spokesman on Romania, Kinga Gál MEP, Vice-Chairwoman of the EU-Romania JPC, Gerardo Galeote Quecedo MEP, Chairman of the Committee on Regional Development, Ms Maria Cappone, Head of the Bulgarian Observer Delegation in the EPP-ED Group, and Marian-Jean Marinescu, Head of the Romanian Observer Delegation.
