On Thursday 23 March 2006, Frieda Brepoels MEP (EPP-ED, Belgium), attended the opening of the first National Park in Flanders (Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen). Commissioner Stavros Dimas and Kris Peeters, Flemish Minister of Environment, also attended the opening.
