An exhibition "Mar de Fondo" was unveiled on 20 September in the European Parliament under sponsorship of Daniel Varela MEP (EPP-ED, Spain). The artist Ramón Trigo from Galicia created art of sea, from sea and about sea. The images were made with use of products that Spanish fishers need for their work and represent sea as it is perceived by people living in harmony with it.
Mr Varela together with General Secretary of ANFACO (Industry of transformation and commercialisation of sea products) Juan Manuel Vieites opened a reception of tinned seafood. In Galicia the art takes not only form of music, sculptures and paints, but also of delicious local meals.
