The EPP-ED Group paid tribute to its former Chairman, Hans August Lücker (born on 21 February 1915), on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

During their regular pre-session meeting, the EPP-ED Group Members welcomed Hans August Lücker (D), former Chairman of the Group, to honour his contribution to the political family and congratulate him on his 90th birthday.

Hans August Lücker led the EPP-ED Group in the European Parliament during the '70s and assured its creation in 1976 as the first pan-European political party.
