How we work
The EPP-ED Group and the citizen![]() We in the EPP-ED Group see our chief task as being that of devising and implementing a European policy both for and with citizens. EPP-ED Group Members are active in their local areas and maintain strong links in their constituencies. In this way they are able to inform public opinion and understand the interest of those they represent. It is part of their duties to ensure that these interests are taken into account in the drafting of laws and regulations at European level. Every citizen can learn of the work of the MEPs in the EPP-ED Group by consulting the minutes of the European Parliament published in the Official Journal of the European Communities in eleven languages. The speeches delivered by the Group's MEPs during Parliament's plenary sittings are also published in these languages. The EPP-ED Group also uses its webpage as a means of keeping citizens well-informed. It is our desire to make ongoing improvements to the information we provide to you about the decisions we take on specific political issues and establish contact with you. |
