Keeping high quality standards for candidates of the teaching profession and the need to improve the low pay of teachers in many countries are the main themes of a hearing organised by Nicodim Bulzesc MEP (Romania) on Thursday 13th November in the European Parliament. The focus of the debates were on education and training in the context of the Lisbon Strategy, as well as how qualified teachers can lead to better student performance.
