9th Summit of the Chairmen of the EPP-ED Parliamentary Groups in the EU
Brussels, 13-14 October 2008

While EU leaders gather for a Summit in Brussels this week, the chairmen of national EPP-ED parliamentary groups also assembled in Parliament.

The EPP-ED Group in the European Parliament hosted the 9th Summit of the EPP-ED Parliamentary Groups in the EU on 13 and 14 October in the European Parliament.

The meeting focused on interparliamentary cooperation, the European elections and an external common policy for energy.

Vito Bonsignore, Vice-Chairman of the EPP-ED Group responsible for relations with national parliaments, and Jean-François Copé, Chairman of the UMP parliamentary group in the French National assembly, co-chaired the meeting, also attended by José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.
