Hearing on Measuring Health and Disability in Europe
Brussels, 16 September 2008

Mario Mauro, Vice-President of the European Parliament, will chair a hearing on Tuesday on Measuring Health and Disability in Europe. Policy recommendations, which are the result of three years of research in 13 European countries, will be presented at the hearing. The recommendations will help design new European policies on health and disability and improve data analysis capacity.

The Chairwoman of the Women's Rights and gender Equality Committee Anna Záborská MEP (EPP-ED, Slovakia) and Chairwoman of the Intergroup for Family Marie Panayatopoulos-Cassiotou MEP (EPP-ED, Greece) will also participate on the event.
