Hearing on food labelling in the EU
Renate Sommer MEP (EPP-ED, Germany), Rapporteur on the proposed Regulation on 'Food Information to Consumers'
German MEP Renate Sommer organised a hearing on the future of food labelling regulation in the EU on Thursday 28th August in the European Parliament in Brussels.

Parliament's rapporteur on the proposed Regulation on "Food Information to Consumers" hosted the hearing, which included presentations from experts
in the field from the institutions, European consumer representative organisations, and small business associations.

The rapporteur emphasised that over-regulation in this sector should be avoided.
