The future of the financial markets supervision in the EU

The EPP-ED Group held a public hearing on the future of the financial markets supervision in the EU. Chaired by Alexander Radwan MEP, EPP-ED Coordinator in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, representatives from the industry, national regulators and academics, debated the topic in two discussion panels. The hearing took place on Wednesday, 7 November, from 15.00-18.30 in room ASP 3E2 in the European Parliament.

The seminar was introduced by Mr Radwan and the two panels: 'Supervision of financial markets in the EU - Present situation and main problems', and 'How to improve the supervision of the financial markets in the EU' was moderated by John Purvis MEP (United Kingdom) and Piia-Noora Kauppi MEP (Finland) respectively.
