Public Hearing: The Reform of the Community Trade Defence Instruments Brussels, 16 July 2007

Christofer Fjellner MEP (Sweden), rapporteur of the report on the reform of the Comunity trade defence instruments, will participate in a public hearing organised by the Committee on International Trade on Monday, 16 July in the European Parliament.

| Representatives from the Commission, academics, and trade experts will participate, including Peter Balas, Deputy Director General DG Trade, European Commission; Professor Brian Hindley, Senior fellow, ECIPE Brussels; Professor Jacques Bourgeois, College of Europe; Monique Jones, Secretary General, Eurometaux; Stuart Newman, Legal Advisor, Foreign Trade Association; H.E. Guillermo Valles Galmés, Ambassador to the WTO for Uruguay; and Professor Claudio Dordi, Bocconi University - Milan.

The hearing will take place at 4pm to 6.30pm, in room ASP A1G3.
