EPP-ED Presidency in Washington

The Presidency of the EPP-ED Group in the European Parliament visited Washington DC from 17-20 July 2007 for a series of strategic high-level meetings.

Led by EPP-ED Group Chairman Joseph Daul MEP (France), the leadership of the strongest political Group of the European Parliament, accompanied by
several of Parliament's foremost lawmakers, held talks with senior Republican and Democrat House members, as well as with leading representatives of the US administration and the World Bank, culminating in a meeting with US Vice President Dick Cheney in the White House on Friday, 20 July.
