EPP-ED Group Bureau Meeting

Azores, Portugal, 14-15 June 2007


The EPP-ED Group Bureau met on 14 and 15 June in Ponta Delgada, capital of the Azores, Portugal. The outermost regions of the European Union and the future of the Union's maritime policy were the key topics for discussion.

The meeting was attended not only by the EPP-ED Members of the European Parliament, but also by representatives of local government, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in Portugal, academics, and research experts. Speakers included EU Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Joe Borg.
