EPP-ED Group Bureau Meeting

Granada, Spain, 19-20 April 2007

The EPP-ED Group Bureau members met in Granada, Spain on 19 and 20 April.

The programme of the meeting concentrated on the challenge of immigration. The first part of the discussion was on the Southern dimension of the European Union immigration policy. The second part was on the management of the external borders of the EU.

Representatives of FRONTEX (the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders), various policy institutes and local political leaders shared their views on immigration policies with senior deputies of the EPP-ED Group.

The meeting, which took place in the Hotel Alhambra Palace, Plaza Arquitecto García de Paredes 1, 18009, Granada, ended with a press conference on the Friday at 11.30am.
