EPP-ED Group Study Day on Belarus

The EPP-ED Group organised a Study Day on Belarus in the European Parliament in Brussels on 8 February 2007.
Among the speakers were Joseph Daul, Chairman of the EPP-ED Group, Bogdan Klich MEP, Chairman of the delegation for relations with Belarus, Alaksandr Milinkevich, Leader of the United Democratic Opposition and winner of the 2006 Sakharov Prize, Vincuk Viačorka, Chairman of the Belarus Popular Front, Zhanna Litvina, winner of the 2004 Sakharov Prize, David Kramer, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Eneko Landaburu, Director-General of DG RELEX, and Helga Schmid, Director of High Representative Solana's Policy Unit, as well as speakers from think-tanks and other academic and European institutions.
The meeting was hosted by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, Jacek Saryusz-Wolski MEP.
