Public Hearing on Kazakhstan

On Thursday 10 November, the EPP-ED Group organised a public hearing to analyse and discuss if the presidential elections in Kazakhstan on 4 December would be 'free and fair'. They covered the current political situation in the country, freedom of the media and the state of the civil society. The hearing encompassed three sessions, each of which was followed by a debate. The moderators were Laima Andrikienė MEP, György Schöpflin MEP and Charles Tannock MEP.
