Fixing the Connections - Top TELECOMS Leaders in EP
Attended by top people in the industry, the hearing was opened by Lorenzo Cesa MEP, Vice-Chairman of the EPP-ED Group, and the European Commissioner for the Information Society and Media, Mrs Viviane Reding. Under the spotlight, inter alia, was the state of implementation of the EU's Electronic Communication Package, the regulation versus competition debate in the light of developments in the market, and the role of innovation and research in the European ICT industry. Parliamentary speakers included the MEPs Paul Rübig, Angelika Niebler, and Malcolm Harbour.
