Romania

having regard to the significance of the 2004 local and parliamentary elections in Romania;

given that the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ) is a longstanding member of the EPP;

The European People’s Party declares its full-hearted support for the RMDSZ in its ambition to secure a solid representation both at regional and national parliamentary levels. This will serve to spread Christian Democratic values in Romania and strengthen the EPP as a whole.
