Impact of Lisbon Treaty on Brussels Institutions

Jean-Luc Dehaene MEP (EPP-ED, Belgium) presents his report on The impact of the Lisbon Treaty on the development of the institutional balance of the European Union to the Committee on Constitutional Affairs on Monday 31 March.
|
The report by the veteran Belgian politician (former Prime Minister and Vice-Chairman of the European Convention 2001-2003) deals with the influence the new Treaty will have on the institutional framework of the European Union. The rapporteur will present his ideas on how the Parliament, the Commission, the Council and the European Council should redefine their mutual relationships in order to establish a renewed and enhanced inter-institutional balance.
