EPP-ED Group becomes largest political group in history of European Parliament
|
The EPP-ED Group has this week grown to 289 Members - the largest ever political group in the history of the European Parliament. The EPP-ED Group was joined by Brigitte Fouré MEP (France), in addition to the increase in membership following the successful European elections in Bulgaria and Romania, bringing membership to an all-time high of 289 Members.
|
The EPP-ED Group is also the only group with MEPs from all 27 Member States. It has the largest national delegations from 17 Member States. The 289 MEPs come from more than 45 Christian Democratic and European Democratic parties of Europe.
