The role of women in industry

The European Parliament votes today on a report on the role of women in industry. The shadow rapporteur is Edit Bauer (EPP-ED, Slovakia).
|
The report highlights the role of women in industry and encourages action to promote women's position in relation to wage equality, working conditions, career opportunities, vocational training, and maternity and paternity as fundamental social values.
|
It recognises the need for an integrated industrial policy that reflects the need to be competitive, while guaranteeing workers' social and economic rights.
|
