Hearing on women in rural areas

Chairwoman of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality Anna Záborská MEP (Slovakia), will moderate a hearing on women in rural areas on Monday 5th November. Christa Klass MEP (Germany), the European Parliament's rapporteur on the issue, will participate in the debate.

Experts speaking at the event include: Marylyn Haines Evans, Chairperson, National Federation of Women's Institutes, UK, Anne Hartmann, Chairperson, Lower Saxony Rural Youth Organisation, Germany, Gertrude Maria Eigelsreiter-Jashari, Director, NGO "Südwind", Austria, and Michael Pielke, DG Agriculture and Rural Development.

The committee meeting will take place in room ASP 3G3 of the European Parliament from 15.30 to 17.00.
