The Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament voted on 20 December on a report of Klaus-Heiner Lehne MEP (Germany). The rapporteur seeks to ensure shareholders can exercise their full voting rights, in particular EU shareholders of companies located in Member States other than their own. The report aims to improve both shareholders' access to information, and to remove obstacles to voting at general meetings.
