Visiting new Presidency
EPP-ED Chairman Hans-Gert Poettering MEP will represent the Group as the Parliament's Conference of Presidents meets German chancellor Angela Merkel and members of her government for discussions on the incoming German presidency in Berlin on 18-19 December.
The Germany Presidency Programme will, as is the tradition, be outlined by Federal Chancellor Merkel at the first meeting of the European Parliament on 17 January 2007 in Strasbourg.
