Roselyne BACHELOT-NARQUIN (EPP-ED, France)
MEP 2004 - 2007
The European Parliament will debate a report of French MEP Roselyne Bachelot (EPP-ED) on the European Globalisation Fund. The fund will provide up to €500 million each year to help reintegrate into the labour market workers made redundant due to changes in global trade patterns. The fund may, for example, help workers from the Volkswagen plant in Forest, Belgium.

The report of Rosalyne Bachelot was adopted with an overwhelming majority in the Employment Committee of the EP in October and is expected to pass through the Plenary without any difficulty.
