EPP Summit in Helsinki

The heads of state, governments and parties from the EPP family will gather together with EPP-ED Chairman Hans-Gert Poettering MEP in Helsinki today. The leaders will discuss issues on the agenda of the European Council meeting in Lahti on 20 October - Illegal Immigration, European Energy Policy and Research and Development in the EU. Among the participants will also be Romanian President Traian Basescu, and Croat and Albanian Prime Ministers Ivo Sanader and Sali Berisha.
