Health in the developing world

EPP-ED MEP Gay Mitchell (Ireland) will host a debate on "Vaccines and immunisation in the developing world - helping to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)" in the European Parliament on Wednesday 4 October. The conference, which will take place in ASP building, E-3 room in the evening, will focus on the important but not often highlighted issue of fighting disease in developing world countries. Among the speakers at the conference will be the Ambassador of Mali, H.E. E M Ibrahim Bocar Ba, the Ambassador of Nicaragua, H.E. Lester Mejia Solis, and Dr Adenike Grange, President of the International Paediatric Association.

Presentations by Gay Mitchell and other speakers will be followed by a question and answer session with NGOs involved in global health issues.
