Turkey's progress towards accession

MEPs from nearly all political groups in Parliament share the conclusion that the reform process in Turkey has slowed down during the last year. The draft report was adopted in the Foreign Affairs Committee by a very broad majority. According rapporteur Camiel Eurlings MEP the reform process in the fields of freedom of expression, religious and minority rights, civil-military relations, law enforcement on the ground, women's rights, trade union rights, cultural rights and the swift and correct enforcement of court rulings by state services must be revitalised.
