EPP-ED Group Chairman Hans-Gert Poettering MEP will award the Group’s Schuman Medal to Michel Barnier, former EU Commissioner, former French Minister of Foreign Affairs and current Chairman of the French association "Nouvelle République", in a formal celebration during the EPP-ED Group meeting on Wednesday, 7 December.
The Schuman medal is an honour presented to people who have made outstanding contributions to European integration.
